There is an element of "found sound" incorporated into this piece. The drone guitar line you hear was played by a friend of mine as part of a music project we were working on. I stole it and added so much reverb it would never stop echoing. It was supposed to be a temporary guitar line to fill in space while I worked on the song, but then it became more of a keepsake, and I held onto it within the song mostly for sentimental reasons.

Much of the music for this song was done through cut-and-paste editing in Cakewalk Sonar. I was having fun experimenting with household sounds at the time, so the alarm and the ticking clock you hear were both created with my actual alarm clock, and the chime was created with a set of Ben Wa balls. The second guitar was just my acoustic guitar filtered through a pitch shifter.
